Corrosion resistance is invaluable to the longevity and integrity of a solar water fountain pump. The solar-powered fountain pump will be spending a lot of time around or in water, and without some form of corrosion resistance, it won’t be long before it goes bad.
Some customer are running the pump 24/7, 7 days a week which will shorten the observed lifetime of the system. The vast majority of our customer are using the pumps 6-8 hours per day, or intermittently, which is normal use and should result in a normal lifespan.
All of our solar well pumps have a two year warranty. If anything happens within 2 years, we will immediately send out replacement parts. All of our kits also come standard with an extra helical rotor pumping mechanism. In most cases it is not needed, however dirty or sandy wells can cause wear on the gasket.
Just be sure your pond or creek can keep up with your desired water demand. Freezing issues may arise if improperly installed. We also advise you to encase the solar pump in a filtration box or float the pump to ensure it is not pumping debris from the bottom of the water source. This can cause your pump to wear down fast and lead to repairs.
